D.O.T. APPROVED HIGHWAY SAFETY DRUM

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We have gone the extra mile to ensure that this product offers the highest level of protection; it has been crash tested at 62 mph and is FHWA Type One approved. The Reflective Safety Drum is manufactured from low-density polyethylene making it lightweight and easy to move. Unlike the common drum currently in use, the thicker plastic makes for a sturdy drum that will resist damage due to minor vehicle collisions. An added benefit is that it is constructed from one piece of plastic so there are no loose parts to become lost during storage or come apart during civilian or military applications.

The enlarged opening in the top of this product allows gloved workers an easy, comfortable, and secure grip. An optional flashing safety light can be positioned inside the opening on top that gives extra protection to the safety light and to the battery. The overflow hole located below the opening will prevent the light from being flooded during rain or snowstorms. And you don’t need to worry about losing the light! A great feature of the CBP Barricade is that the design allows the drums to be stacked on top of each other and stored without the time-consuming task of removing the safety light assembly.

The unique, patented shape of the base is an innovative feature of the CBP’s Reflective Safety Drum. The flat side on the base ensures that if the Drum is accidentally knocked over it will not roll into traffic but stay in basic position. The curved side of the base allows the user to easily maneuver the Drum into the correct work location. And if blown by high winds, or bumped into by a vehicle or pedestrian, the weighted bottom will help the Safety Drum to remain upright. If it does fall over the unique shape of the bottom will keep it from rolling into traffic or endangering any pedestrians

Creative Building Products strives to ensure the safest work environment possible. With that in mind, active duty servicemen, servicewomen, and civilians who have had hands-on experience utilizing this type of equipment were consulted and gave valuable design and specification input for this product. The Safety Drum is currently in production and can be shipped within thirty days of receipt of order. There are two types of reflective safety tape available as an option with this product. One option is the engineering grade reflective tape that is ideal for work zones with a minimum amount of vehicular traffic. The second option is the high reflective grade tape for the work zones that will have a high amount of vehicular traffic.

Additional sand can be added to increase weight to 75lbs for use in high wind areas.
